Timberock Mountain Chalets, Ltd. is excited to participate in the development of Alberta's only Ski-in/Ski-out resort real estate at Castle Mountain Resort. Lots in the exclusive Timberock Village are now available for design and construction! These 16 luxury slope-side chalets range in size from 1990 - 3710 square feet. Square footage includes a self-contained two-bedroom lower level walkout suite with separate entrance.
Our inspired semi-attached homes built in the Timberock tradition will be priced from $450,000 to a million plus. See the elevations & floorplans and features pages for more information.
Although the hill is undergoing considerable expansion, Castle will never be a commercialized mega-development. In fact, on-hill accomodation is limited to just 225 residences, most of which have already been developed. Timberock Village will be comprised of just 16 luxury addresses, located right next to the Rabbit Flats run, with spectacular alpine views and convenient ski-in/ski-out access.
If you have experienced Castle Mountain Resort (CMR), you'll know why it has been praised by Ski Magazine for its true fall lines, deep, dry powder, and complete lack of lift lines. Castle offers fabulous runs for beginners and experts alike. A major development of Haig Ridge (adjacent to the current terrain) begins Summer '06. This terrain expansion will provide additional beginner and intermediate terrain, making Castle increasingly family friendly. Haig Ridge receives approximately 50% more snow and is better protected from the wind. The CMR ski area receives an annual average snow fall of 416 cm (13.6 ft) at the base and 867cm (28.4 ft) mid-mountain. Snowmaking capabilities have also been added to ensure a longer ski season.

Timberock Village will be an environmentally sensitive development. Castle Mountain Resort is located in a rich and diverse wildlife area. Opportunities for multi-season recreation are extensive. Over 1000 sq. km of protected wilderness area lie adjacent to the resort. Enjoy trails for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, horseback riding, and mountain-biking. A short distance away you will find golfing (Blairmore, Waterton), shops and services, and beautiful lakes including Waterton National Park.
The resort is currently owned and operated by a group of 150 shareholders with a vested interest in maintaining a regional ski area in Southern Alberta. Purchasers in Timberock Village will also acquire a share in the ownership and operation of Castle Mountain Resort. At present, lots are subject to a 40 year free-hold lease. All share owners at CMR will have a shared investment to protect -- anticipated outcome is a move towards free-hold titles. We’d be happy to explain this process in further detail.
