The Area
Environmentally Conscious Development
Timberock Village is part of an environmentally sensitive recreational property development. Although the hill is undergoing considerable expansion, Castle Mountain Resort will never be a commercialized mega-development. In fact, on-hill accommodation is limited to just 225 mountain homes, most of which have already been developed. Timberock Village is comprised of 16 exclusive mountain chalet addresses, located right next to the Rabbit Flats run with spectacular alpine views and convenient ski in ski out access.

If you have experienced Castle Mountain Resort (CMR), you'll know why it has been praised by Ski Magazine for its true fall lines, deep, dry powder, and short line-ups at the lift. Castle offers ski in ski out access to fabulous runs for beginners and experts alike. A major development of Haig Ridge (adjacent to the current terrain) provides additional beginner and intermediate terrain, making Castle increasingly family friendly. Haig Ridge receives approximately 50% more snow and is better protected from the wind. Snowmaking capabilities have also been added to ensure a longer ski season.
Activities for Everyone and Every Season
CMR's recreational property is located in the Castle Special Management Area, 1700 square kilometres of protected wilderness in the Canadian Rockies.
Winter
Besides top rated downhill skiing and snow boarding with ski in and ski out access, the Castle area also offers hundreds of kilometres of free access trails for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling exploration.
Summer
In the summer the trails are perfect for even more activity: hiking, horseback riding, fishing, mountain-biking, quadding and dirt biking. The Castle area has several campgrounds near lakes and waterfalls and you can pitch a tent anywhere due to the random camping allowance. A short distance away you will also find golfing, shops and services and water sports on beautiful lakes including Waterton National Park.
